Summer Positions

Museum & Harbour Centre

The Museum & Harbour Centre Student will assist with daily operations at the Gore Bay Museum and Harbour Centre. This role involves welcoming visitors, providing information on local history and attractions, supporting exhibits and displays, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility.

Duties include assisting with events and programs, handling admissions and answering visitor inquiries, and supporting general building operations. The student will provide friendly, professional customer service and help create a positive experience for residents and tourists.

This position is ideal for a motivated, reliable student with strong communication skills and an interest in community, tourism, and local heritage.

Marina Dock Attendant

Dock Attendants assist with daily operations at the Gore Bay Marina. Duties include welcoming boaters, helping with docking and departures, providing information on marina services and local amenities, maintaining docks and facilities, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming waterfront environment. Staff deliver friendly, professional customer service and support special events and marina operations as needed.

Public Works 

Public Works Student assists the Public Works crew with daily operations throughout the Town of Gore Bay. Duties include supporting road and sidewalk maintenance, parks and property upkeep, waste services, equipment maintenance, and general labour tasks as assigned. The student will work as part of a team to help maintain safe, clean, and well-maintained public spaces while providing reliable and professional service to the community.
