Town of Gore Bay Celebrates Partnership and Progress on New Long-Term Care Home
It was a gorgeous day October 9th in Gore Bay as the community proudly welcomed Premier Doug Ford, Minister Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, Minister George Pirie, and local MPP Bill Rosenberg to the future site of St. Joseph’s Lodge — a brand-new 64-bed long-term care home that will serve the residents of Western Manitoulin.
This milestone project represents a significant step forward in strengthening local health care and supporting seniors close to home. The development of St. Joseph’s Lodge is the result of a strong partnership between the Town of Gore Bay Council and staff, St. Joseph’s Health Centre, and the Government of Ontario, alongside the commitment of numerous public and private partners.
“This is a proud day for Gore Bay and for Western Manitoulin,” said [Mayor’s Name], Mayor of Gore Bay. “Through collaboration and shared vision, we are ensuring that our seniors have access to the quality care they deserve — right here in our community.”
Together, we are building a stronger, more caring future for our seniors and for all of Western Manitoulin.
