IMPORTANT NOTICE TO USERS OF THE MARINA FACILITIES AND LANDS ON THE GORE BAY WATERFRONT
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO USERS OF THE MARINA FACILITIES AND LANDS ON THE GORE BAY WATERFRONT
The Town of Gore Bay is the owner of most of the lands and related facilities on the Gore Bay waterfront east of Water St. from the Red Roof Pavilion (Purvis Fish & Chips) to Fish Point Park.
All of the docks and buildings located on these lands are rented by the Town of Gore Bay on either a daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal or yearly basis. All of the net revenue from the rental of these facilities is used to help fund Town of Gore Bay public services and community facilities which benefit all of our residents.
In an effort to ensure our ability to raise this revenue continues The Town of Gore Bay would ask the following:
- That during the summer rental season from June 1 to Sept. 15 that the privacy and safety of the people using or renting those spaces be respected and that no fishing activity take place from any of the docks including the floating boat docks, the swim docks/beach area and the main dock by the fuel service area and CYC.
- That at no time during the year should fish be cleaned in the marina area including on any of the docks or fish carcasses be placed in the waters of Gore Bay
- That at no time during the year should any garbage or other waste be placed on these properties unless it is placed in a Town of Gore Bay garbage receptacle.
If we all work together Gore Bay will continue to be the best place it can be to live, work and play.
Thank you from the Mayor and Council of the Town of Gore Bay
