My family and I moved to the Island a year ago and it was the best decision we made. There’s always something going for the kids whether it’s sports, movies at the hall, or activities at the arena. We love having family picnics at the bluff overlooking the town and beautiful marina. The quaint yet ever evolving town of Gore Bay is a must see and a must stay!

We looked all across Northern Ontario, from Haliburton to Manitoulin Island, including Sudbury, but nothing compared to what we found in Gore Bay. Other areas felt more remote, but Gore Bay offers that perfect mix of natural beauty and convenience. We were able to find a reasonably priced home with a view, and now my wife and I both work remotely while raising our family here. Everything we need is within walking distance—the beach, brewery, doctor, grocery store, library, splash pad, tennis courts, and fitness centre. It’s an incredible place to live.

My wife and I both secured full-time teaching jobs at the school in Gore Bay, which was the main reason we made the move. We were tired of the traffic and overcrowding down south and decided it was time for a new adventure. After some research and seeing that it offered the perfect mix of amenities and outdoor adventure ‘Why not Gore Bay?’ — and now, it’s where we’re happily raising our family.

Gore Bay is more than a beautiful place, it is a strong, close-knit community where people support one another, and where new residents are welcomed with genuine warmth. Whether you are relocating for work, family, or lifestyle, we are proud to offer a safe, vibrant town where you can build a meaningful future.
