I spent my childhood in various places in Northern Ontario with my bank manager Father and family.  I graduated from Parry Sound District High School and went on to Seneca College and obtained my business diploma.  I worked for IBM Canada for 11 years in Toronto and Ottawa and then moved to Germany with my husband and fellow councillor Jack.  We have 2 children, Richard who is a Chemical Engineer with Suncor in Fort McMurrary and Jessica who is currently attending Northern Medical School in Sudbury.  We moved to the Island in 1993 and I have been an employee with the LCBO since 1995.
 
This is my 2nd term on council and enjoy the interaction with my fellow councillors, staff and the public.  I have spent time on the executive for the Curling Club including 2 years as President, am a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Gore Bay Community Choir and am presently on the Public Works Committee, Museum Board, Fire Board and the Wharf Building Committee. 
 
We've seen a number of changes in the past year and I look forward to the many challenges that we will face in the next 3 years.  The Town of Gore Bay is a great place with lots of potential for growth and I sincerely hope to see this happen.
