The Gore Bay Community Hall is the focal point of the community. Built in 1927, the historically significant building is home to an assortment of events including the Gore Bay Summer Theatre, Annual Old Fashioned Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting Ceremony, auction sales, charity fundraisers, public meetings, receptions, stag and does, fashion shows and other community events.

The Gore Bay Community Hall is a two story, accessible building that contains a fully equipped kitchen as well as a bar area and stage.

Following renovations in the fall of 2012, the Gore Bay Community Hall will be fully accessible with the addition of an elevator and barrier free washrooms.

Capacity of the Hall for Licensed Events = 171 persons.

Theatre Group
 
The Theatre Group is allowed to use the hall “Free of Charge” for Practices.
However, they must pay for actual shows.
 
Hall Stage
 
The Theatre Group may leave the portable stage in place four weeks in June prior to opening of play.
 
The Town of Gore Bay will be responsible for the setting up of stage.
