Gore Bay has a long tradition of exceptional community theatre going back more than 50 years. The Gore Bay Theatre is housed in our Community Hall at 52 Meredith Street.
This award-winning theatre features a range of plays during the month of July.
This Is How We Got Here by Keith Barker is simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming, the play follows a close-knit family as they deal with an unexpected loss. The play was nominated for the 2018 Governor Generals Award for drama. Gore Bay Theatre received the Best Production award at the Northern Ontario Drama Festival and placed second in awards won at the Theatre Ontario finals in southern Ontario.

Laughter Is The Best Medicine is an evening of one-act plays on various topics guaranteed to tickle the funny bone. It features a cast of 8 actors. *Please note that although there are no language issues, one of the plays has adult content.*
