Gore Bay is a small town with exceptional facilities, and our marina is a case in point. More than one boater has called it “the best marina we’ve visited anywhere”. What makes the Gore Bay marina so good? Lots of things . . .
Besides the fact that it’s located in a beautiful spot nestled between two forested bluffs, our marina has features that keep boaters coming back year after year.
Great Dockage: Deep water, wide docks, calm conditions all the time. These are some of the things that make our marina so popular. There are 185 slips in all, tie-ups for vessels up to 100′ feet long, plus 30 amp and 50 amp electrical hookups. Gas, diesel, pumps-outs and municipal water connections, too. The completion of a limestone breakwall adds to the appeal of Gore Bay Marina.
Fuel, Provisions & Stores: You can buy everything (and we mean everything) you’ll need to make your boating visit to Gore Bay perfect. Right at the docks there’s the fully stocked Marina Store. Owned and operated by Canadian Yacht Charters, you’ll find charts and cruising guides, cold drinks and snacks, marine parts, plus printing, email and fax service.
A short walk up from the docks you’ll find the Gore Bay “business district”. Groceries, restaurants, propane, clothing, medical services, banking, plus wine, beer and spirits. Gore Bay offers the most complete shopping experience of any small town anywhere.
Washrooms, Showers & Laundry Facilities: You’ve been on the water for a while and you need to freshen up. We’ve got you covered. The newest of our two washroom facilities was built in 2011. That’s it on the left. There’s a total of 14 showers, 18 toilets, plus front loading washers and dryers – all accessible to boaters only. We also make sure our facilities are squeaky clean all the time.
Marine Repairs, Storage & Charters: We cater as much to boats as we do to boaters. Here in Gore Bay you can charter a first class vessel, store your boat at reasonable rates, or get your craft repaired. Our town has a long relationship with the waters of the North Channel, and you’ll find some of the most skilled marine mechanics right here.
